North West Pembrokeshire, near St David’s, SA62 5BN

Porthgain, situated about halfway between St David’s and Fishguard, is a lovely little village tucked into a valley with a sheltered harbour. It does get very crowded in the summer season though. From here there is easy access to the coast path and a lovely walk (approx. 3 miles) to Abereiddy with the secluded beach of Traeth Llyfn on route, the ideal picnic spot.  Flat terrain on this part of the coastal path makes for a very relaxing and enjoyable walk with your dog.
