Pwllgwaelod Beach

North Pembrokeshire, near Dinas Cross, Fishguard, SA42

Pwllgwaelod, located on Dinas Head, is a small silver sandy beach cove with cliffs on either side and easy access to the coast path. The very scenic walk around Dinas Head (approx. 3 miles) can start at either Pwllgwaelod, or the village of Cwm-yr-Eglwys. The route climbs steeply, and is a test for the leg muscles whichever way round you do it but the views across Cardigan Bay are stupendous. For the very keen walker there is a longer 7 mile trail – route map.

Please be aware that Dinas Island accommodates sheep and cattle so take care to keep dogs under control.
