    Hi Dog Rover,

Does any of the restrictions lift after or before a certain time of day during September?

    Thanks 🙂

      Hi there Tori,

Only Coppet Hall at Saundersfoot operates relaxed restrictions, allowing dogs before 10.00am and after 5.00pm.

      Best wishes

Hi Dog Rover, Have just booked 2wks holiday (June/July)is there anywhere we can take the dogs for a swim Saunderfoot/Tenby. Have never been to this part of Wales before and are looking forward to the break. Will be very disappointed if we can not take dogs on beach for a swim.
    Regards
    Pat Bluck.

      Hi Pat,

Dog bans exist for all beaches in Saundersfoot and Tenby in June and July. However, Coppet Hall beach which is just next to Saundersfoot will allow dogs before 10.00am and after 5.00pm so if you’re staying in Saundersfoot this will be the nearest beach for your pooch to enjoy a swim. From there it’s an easy and pleasant walk to Wiseman’s Bridge beach which is dog friendly all year. Penally beach is the nearest dog friendly beach to Tenby town. It has plenty of space and is easily accessible from Saundersfoot by car or bus. If you do have your own transport, there are lots and lots of other lovely dog friendly beaches around the coast, all listed on the website.

Hope you have a lovely holiday Pat.
      Best wishes

      Hello Niki,

Wherever a dog ban is in force, Saundersfoot or any other beach, this means no dogs allowed on or off leads.

      All the best

    Hi Dog Rover
My dog is petrified of gunfire. Is there a firing range anywhere near Saundersfoot, Monkstone or Glen Beach which he might hear if we holidayed there please?

      Hi Shirley,

The nearest firing range to Saundersfoot is at Penally, approximately 5 miles away, so your dog should not be disturbed by any firing which takes place there.

    Hello there.

Are there ANY stretches of beach in Saundersfoot which allow dogs? Am REALLY disappointed as we’d found the perfect cottage but may now have to rethink 🙁

    Thanks!

      Hi,

All the beaches in Saundersfoot are dog friendly between October and April, and only a couple have dog restrictions in the summer which is the area by the harbour and Coppet Hall.

      All the best

    Hello Dog Rover,
Thank you for this fantastic web site. We are visiting the area for our summer holidays with our bouncy Cocker Spaniel puppy and Jack Russel. It’s so good to be able to plan in advance as to which beaches we can visit – avoiding disappointed children and dogs!!

      Hi Karen,

The beaches with dog restrictions in force between May and September have no concessions after 6pm – it is a blanket ban.

      Thanks for visiting the site.

      All the best

    Hi there,
Are there restrictions in walking you’re dog along the old railway route from Saundersfoot to Amroth in the months of June through to September.

      Hi Peter,
