North Pembrokeshire, Castlemorris, near Mathry
This high pebble bank beach is in a small natural bay which reveals a deep stretch of sand when the tide recedes. Walk to the end of the beach and turn left for a beautiful stroll through Abermawr woods, which in the spring are awash with stunning bluebells – route map. Alternatively, head westwards on the coast path to Abercastle (approx. 3 miles) or it’s just a short walk in the other direction to the smaller neighbouring Aberbach Beach. Despite it’s remote location Abermawr attracts a fair few visitors which can make parking the car tricky.
Dog friendly all year!
Limited parking at the end of the narrow beach road – nearest sat nav code SA62 5UX
