Musselwick Sands

West Pembrokeshire, Marloes, near Haverfordwest, SA62

Musselwick beach is completely submerged at high tide but a fine sandy area is exposed at low water. If you’re walking the coast path between Marloes Sands and St Brides Haven then Musselwick is on route, or it can be approached by a walk across fields from the road from Marloes to Martins Haven. Access is tricky via the Black Cliff path which is steep, rocky and slippery when wet, so not suitable for people or dogs who are unsteady on their feet/paws. The best time to visit is about 2 hours before low tide.

Very limited roadside parking at the start of the footpath (3 or 4 cars only).

Lovely beach especially at spring tides when all the beach can be accessed.
BUT if the bright green weed has not been cleared from the pathway, it is like trying to walk on black ice anywhere the path crosses the stream water – especially where the sea water reaches at high tide.
