Newgale Sands

West Pembrokeshire, Newgale, near St David’s, SA62

Over 2 miles long, Newgale is a vast sandy beach backed by a huge pebble bank. As well as being popular with water sports enthusiasts and holidaymakers it’s perfect for those who enjoy walking and a favourite of dogs. Coastal path walking in either direction – Solva or Nolton Haven – is fantastic and offers spectacular views of St Brides Bay where a variety of wildlife can be seen. Pwll March (also known as Pen-y-Cwm beach) is at the northern end of Newgale beach and can be reached at low tide by walking along the shore and at other times via the coast path.

Dog restrictions 1st May to 30th September on central section of the beach.

Three car parks on Welsh Road, two are Pay and Display but Maidenhall is free.

This is one of our favourite beaches, we go here with our four dogs several times a week and they love it! Great big open spaces and lots of doggie friends to meet and greet! =)
