West Pembrokeshire, Newgale, SA62 6BD
One of the most striking views in Pembrokeshire is the first sight of Newgale beach – immaculate golden sands stretching over 2 miles backed by a huge bank of pebbles which separates it from the adjacent road. As well as being popular with water sports enthusiasts and holidaymakers it’s also a favourite of dogs. It’s a beach for activities and walking rather than the usual not-doing-anything-on-a-sun-lounger. Even with the partial dog restriction in force during the summer there’s still plenty of beach to explore and the coast path is easily accessible in either direction – Solva or Nolton Haven – offering spectacular views of St Brides Bay.
Dog restrictions 1st May to 30th September – no dogs on central section (maps).
