West Pembrokeshire, near St David’s, SA62 6PS
Whitesands is a large sandy beach at low tide, but the bay shrinks considerably when the tide comes in. It’s very popular with tourists and surfers as well as dog walkers. From here it’s just a short walk along the coast path to the secluded and less crowded Porthmelgan Beach, but if you fancy something more challenging there’s a rugged circular walk around St David’s head.
